BRIGHT MIDNIGHT

BETTER THAN A CHEESESTEAK
The Doors Music Company and Bright Midnight Archives are thrilled to announce The Doors Live In Philadelphia '70 the legendary Philadelphia show in its entirety. Jim Morrison's incantatory power and the musical telepathy of Manzarek, Krieger and Densmore blew the Philly crowd away that night, and thanks to this stellar recording, now you too can experience the majesty of a truly historic live Doors performance.

This pristine recording is now available as a two-CD set from BMA, capturing The Doors at their incendiary peak in front of 14,000 screaming fans, and boasts killer versions of "Break On Through," "Back Door Man," "When the Music's Over," "Light My Fire" and "Roadhouse Blues," among others. Digitally transferred from the original multi-track recordings, then mixed and mastered by longtime sonic collaborator and original Doors engineer/co-producer Bruce Botnick, another classic is unveiled. >> more info

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...
The folks from The Doors Music Company have been reviewing hours of Doors concert tapes in their relentless pursuit of the very best live recordings. They're currently assembling several stunning new packages, some featuring never-before-heard material. Stay tuned!

As many of you know, the goal of BMA is to provide Doors fans with the best live and unreleased recordings from The Doors archives. The Doors are also very serious about tracking down "long-lost" items that exist outside their archive for possible use in future projects. Anything from live shows (audience/soundboard), lost studio reels, amateur video footage or photos.

The band has created an e-mail address for people to send information that might help them track down and acquire these items. If any of you have some information that might help the band in their quest, please e-mail archive@thedoors.com to contact a member of the Doors Research Team.

We know some of you might be a little hesitant to come forward, thinking you might get in trouble for having these items. In all honesty, we just want the items for use in possible future projects - no need to worry. And we don't want to take your tapes, or own them - we just want access to clean copies (or arrange to copy the originals and return them to you). As an added incentive for coming forward, we are willing to make you a royalty participant if we use your item in an official release. A win-win situation for both sides! We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you, from The Doors.
